Here at Shelter Island Marine Electronics we stock a multitude of different connecters, wires, & cables.
NMEA2000/N2K
NMEA2000/N2K, a plug-and-play communications standard used for connecting marine sensors and display units within ships and boats. Ex. connectivity with GPS receivers, auto pilots, wind instruments, depth sounders, navigation instruments, engine instruments, and nautical chart plotters.
SEATALK NG
SeaTalkng is an interconnection bus for Raymarine products. Small diameter cable connectors are used throughout the system to make installation easier.
There's a wide range of cable lengths, all with over-moulded plugs, so there is no need to cut or splice cables. Spur cables connect individual SeaTalkng products to the SeaTalkng backbone.
SIMNET
Simrad Intelligent Marine Network is a communications protocol accessing NMEA 2000 standards used exclusively by recent Simrad products.
NMEA0183
NMEA 0183Â is a combined electrical and data specification for communication between marine electronics such as echo sounders, sonars, anemometer, gyrocompass, autopilot, GPS receivers and many other types of instruments.
ETHERNET
Ethernet connection on your boat allows your radar, sounders, and chartplotters (aka multi-function displays) to be interconnected.
RAYNET
Raymarine’s current generation system that replaces the RJ45 connector with a waterproof vibration tolerant twist pin connector that is designed for the marine environment.
DEVICENET
Devicenet connectors can be used on NMEA 2000 networks that use SeaTalkng cabling through simple connector adaptors.
